Extended Operations is live today as a free update for every owner of 007 First Light. IO Interactive shipped it in version 1.3.0 on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC (Steam and Epic). Switch 2 is still set for March 2027.
The studio is calling it a thank-you for the most-requested features since launch, a little over four months ago.
The driving piece is Valhalla Protocol, a new TacSim activity.
Bond takes the Aston Martin Valhalla — machine guns and missile launchers fitted — onto open roads in the Slovakian mountains.
IO describes four runs, day and night, built around timed challenges, target takedowns, and score chasing. It is a score-attack drive, not a new story chapter.
The other new operation is Jungle Heist. You go back to The Pearl hotel in Vietnam, crack a safe in the villa for classified documents, and get out.
The whole property is in play, including the rooftop, and the interior was redesigned for stealth. Every attempt shuffles, so the route does not stay the same.
Also in the drop:
- New Game+, unlocked after one campaign clear. Replay from the start or any checkpoint with your suits, gadgets, and outfit loadout already unlocked, plus more gadget flexibility.
- 00 difficulty. Enemies react faster to bodies, tougher guard types swap in, gadgets are restricted in line of sight, Bond dies in two hits, and parry and sidestep windows tighten.
- Photo Mode: pause, pose, camera, lens, brightness, post-processing, frames, UI toggle.
- New TacSim guns: Storm 12 Gauge (clearance 20, 6,000 Intel) and Squire Marksman Rifle (clearance 18, 4,000 Intel).
- New outfits, including Observant Spy (unlocked by default), Leisure Beam, and First Class.
- Cleaner weapon-handling animation. Enemies can now throw Bond off ledges, the same way he could throw them.
