Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival is out October 8 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2.
Standard is $39.99.
Deluxe is $49.99.
There is no early access and it is not a day-one Game Pass game. Storefront clocks disagree on the exact hour, so expect it sometime between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m. CDT.
Saber Interactive is both developer and publisher.
It is a single-player, first-person survival-horror action game on Unreal Engine 5, rated M for intense violence, gore, strong sexual content, nudity, language, and drug use. A demo is already up, and pre-orders unlock a Labyrinth pistol skin and a Martyr sawblade skin.
You play Aidan Lynch, a biker with a history of addiction, prison, and gangs, voiced by Xalavier Nelson Jr.
He and his girlfriend Sunny find a new puzzle box, the Genesis Configuration. Cutting her with it during sex summons the Cenobites.
The rest of the game is a descent to get her back, while Pinhead uses the opening for a ritual.
Doug Bradley returns as Pinhead. Clive Barker consulted on the story from the start.
The tone is pulled from the 1987 film and Hellbound, not the later sequels. Almost every human character is new.
Combat mixes guns and melee with the box.
The Configuration gives pyrokinesis, telekinesis, and the Hell Chains, fueled by a resource called Suffering.
You scavenge ammo and healing, set traps, and barter for upgrades against cultists, runners, bursters, and Cenobite priests.
Saber has pointed at Resident Evil, BioShock, and Condemned as the mix: horror resource management, then powers that let you fight back.
It is the first original Hellraiser game with Barker attached in years, priced like a mid-tier horror release rather than a full-price action game.
