Anybody who has ever bought a new game on a Friday night knows the second job that comes with it.
You finish the tutorial, you hop in a lobby, and then you spend the next two hours hunting a squad that will still be there next week.
New Discord.
Dead forum thread.
Clan post from 2021 with a “recruiting” tag and three people online.
You either settle or you solo queue and eat it.
Looking For Clan exists because that grind got old.
The site is lookingforclan.app.
Very Unreal, LLC runs it.
Web version 1.1 is already up.
The iOS and Android apps are aimed at October 31, 2026 — Halloween night.
The pitch from their own page is the one that matters: find a clan, run the roster, and if your people want to put something on the line, there’s an optional 21+ layer for that.
This is not some random startup that just discovered LFG.
The mobile app is coming from the same people who built Clanhub — the 2022 clan app that actually made a dent, picked up venture backing (Keyhorse Capital shows up on the public record), and won some hardware before it went dark.
Three years off.
Then a rebrand.
Clanhub hit the stores October 31, 2022. Looking For Clan is set to hit iOS and Android October 31, 2026.
Same date, four years later.
That is not a coincidence.
That is somebody circling back to unfinished business.
Clanhub’s whole job was simple.
Clans listed themselves. Players applied. You stopped pasting the same recruit paragraph into five different servers.
Xiled, Inc. shipped it to mobile in October 2022. Then it fell off the store and the roadmap went quiet.
Anyone who used it remembers the idea more than the app, which is usually how these things die.
The directory problem did not die with it. Every new season still dumps a few thousand people into empty LFG chats.
Every mid-size clan still lives or dies on whether the last officer remembers the Discord password.
LFC is the second swing.
New domain. Same founding thesis. Bigger job.
Find and join is still the front door. Behind that they want roster tools, and behind that — only if you are 21 — Wager Matches, Clan Battles, Clan Bucks, and a clan bank.
They are trying hard not to lead with the money. Good. Most people opening this thing just want a group that answers the mic.
If you have been around for years, none of the origin story will shock you. I’m
Somebody picked up a new title, burned days posting “LF clan” threads, and wondered why there was not one portal that covered every box and every game.
Players filter.
Players can list themselves and let clans come to them. Owners publish once. That part has not changed.
What changed is the stack, the operator, and the Halloween date they picked on purpose.
@LookingForClanX already dropped the short stuff — Oct 31, v1.1, Clan Wars is live.
This piece is the longer one.
Who they are. What you can actually click today.
What they say is coming.
On the web right now you can search by game, genre, and platform.
You can see who they are treating as “on top.”
Recruitment is live.
Clan Wars is live.
Their September 18 post is about as clear as these things get: challenge another clan, lock equal Clan Bucks or run it for pride, set the game and the rules, both sides call the result, and if they cannot agree it goes to evidence review.
Notes sit at lookingforclan.app/v1.1. The age gates and the lawyer page sit at lookingforclan.app/legal.
Halloween is the mobile date because Clanhub already owned that date.
A clan tool that only works at a desk is half a tool. You are already on your phone in the pre-game lobby.
That is when you need a home screen, not a bookmark you forgot.
Assume the same rules follow it onto iOS and Android. Eighteen to make an account and use the community side.
Twenty-one for Wager Matches, Clan Battles, deposits, and cash-outs.
They say they can ask for ID and shut accounts that fail it. Clan Bucks are not fake points. Ten thousand Clan Bucks is a dollar.
Cash-out only in those thousand-dollar-cent chunks. Stakes go into escrow when both sides lock.
The clan bank is the treasury. A rake, if there is one, has to show before anybody hits Lock Stake.
They do not take the other side of the bet. They are not calling this a sportsbook, a casino, a lottery, or a house book.
The legal page even prints 1-800-GAMBLER, which is the kind of line you only add when you know somebody is going to ask.
That legal page is longer and blunter than most gaming community sites bother with.
Kentucky gets its own section because that is where this company lives. Finding a clan, talking, boosting a listing — they say that is not gambling.
Betting on pro or competitive video-game events, in Kentucky, is treated as sports wagering, and as of 2026 that runs through KHRGC-licensed operators for people 21 and actually in the state.
The notice says LFC is not taking sports wagers unless that page gets updated with a license number and a partner name.
Player-versus-player skill events they are trying to keep inside Kentucky’s e-sports carve-out — same game, same time, skill decides it, field set in advance, fees in before play, prize known up front. No slots, no house book on somebody else’s match, no skins or account wagering, no betting kids’ events.
Use a VPN to fake your location and they say they can take the balance.
Read that page before you put money in. Do not take a magazine article as legal advice.
Will this work? Depends what you think “work” means.
If LFC is just another list, it will rot the same way directories rot.
If enough active clans actually live there — post, recruit, keep the roster current — it becomes the place you check before you queue. Discord won chat.
Nobody won the clan layer. Xbox clubs, PSN communities, Steam groups, Reddit recruit threads, and a thousand game-specific LFG tools all do a slice.
None of them keep a multi-game roster alive when the founder gets a job and stops logging in.
The hard parts are the boring parts. Moderation on Clan Wars will turn into a second product.
Escrow fights will be louder than any success story.
Apple and Google are not built to be kind to real-money features from a small operator.
Three years off means a lot of the Clanhub crowd already found some other Discord and will not come back just because the logo changed.
Search results full of ghost clans will kill this faster than any competitor.
The reason it is still worth writing about is the same reason Clanhub was worth downloading in 2022.
Launch week is lonely. Good clans still cannot find people.
People still cannot find a clan that is not a personality cult or a ghost town. Somebody from this part of the country already tried to fix that once.
They are trying again on the same night of the year.
If you bounce games, one profile is the feature. If you run a clan, stop pasting the same paragraph into five servers. If you used Clanhub when it shipped, this is that team coming back around.
If you are under 21, you get the community side and that is it — no wallet, no wars for money. I
f you are thinking about staking, read their legal notice first and know the law where you are sitting.
Web is up: lookingforclan.app
Patch notes: lookingforclan.app/v1.1

The first version of this idea: clanhub
Eighteen plus to make an account. Twenty-one plus for the money features. Clan community with optional skill wagers.
Not a book.
Halloween 2022 they put Clanhub in your pocket. Halloween 2026 they are trying LFC. Same date.
Same problem. Second chance. We will see if the lobby is still empty.
