On October 8, the anonymous source known as Cyberleek dropped a file titled GTA 6: An Extended Leek, a direct parody of Rockstar’s official “An Extended Look.”
It is about 24 minutes and 49 seconds and roughly 370–387 MB.
That is the longest unauthorized clip set yet, and it landed about six weeks before the November 19 launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Cyberleek first showed up on August 18 with short clips of a playable build: Jason playing basketball, driving, combat, a Vice City police chase, the Nine1nine nightclub, and map images.
Rockstar called that wave heartbreaking for the team and unfortunate for fans, and said the date would not slip.
Take-Two has sought subpoenas in the Southern District of New York aimed at Microsoft, Discord, X, and Google.
A YouTube request was later dropped. No public identity has been confirmed.
The name has been tied to a Solana token, $CYBERLEEK, with reported cash-outs around $250,000–$270,000, and earlier posts framed the leaks as a protest against digital-only games and pre-orders.
The new video ends with a funding ask for a separate, non-Rockstar project.
What outlets say is in the October 8 file:
- Mission cutscenes and playable segments, treated as spoiler-heavy.
- Jason and Lucia at a trailer-style storefront changing clothes before an event.
- The Thrillbilly Mud Club, including a dirt race with bikes and other vehicles.
- Vice City street racing, motorbike rental, and garage decals.
- Jason with a different hairstyle and visible tattoos, which points at character customization.
- A first-person camera for driving and on foot.
- A tank spawning in mid-air, which looks like a developer menu rather than a player feature.
- Long stretches of Jason nude in gameplay and cutscenes, and Lucia in minimal clothing. NPCs do not react.
Authenticity is mixed.
VGC and others that reviewed it described the world, characters, and systems as looking real.
IGN’s Rachel Weber, who saw an official preview in July, pushed back on the nude footage: she only saw a shower scene, and the camera avoided full frontal.
She also noted Rockstar has already said first-person is not in the game.
IGN’s write-up flags the tank spawn and the lack of NPC reaction as signs the leaker may have forced options with dev tools.
Rockstar has not commented on this specific drop.
The same day, Rockstar kept marketing. It revealed the first six radio stations with audio previews: Cocoteo FM (modern Latin, hosts tied to Bad Bunny), Back Country Radio (Lana Del Rey, Morgan Wallen), AfroBank FM, The Chamber 106.6 (metal), Flash FM (pop, Robyn), and Dirty South Classics. In-game headphones and earbuds can also play on-demand podcasts on foot or in a car, a first for the series.
Pre-orders are live, with some editions offering early access from November 12. A PC date is still unconfirmed, and multiplayer is widely expected after launch, possibly in 2027.
