Discord is testing a new “Living Room” view for voice channels.
It turns the usual flat grid or list of avatars into a more relaxed, social virtual hangout space where everyone’s profile pictures appear seated in different spots around a cozy room (think couches, beanbag chairs, desks, and even some overhead/perch spots).
There are reportedly around 19 preset seats, and users can manually pick where they want to sit.

It’s still in early testing (visible in Discord Previews/Canary builds), mostly visual for now—no spatial audio tied to positions yet (though that could come later to make it feel even more immersive).
The goal seems to be making voice chats feel more like actually chilling together in the same room.
Looks pretty slick for esports/gaming sessions or just casual squad hangs—way more vibe than the standard view.
Have you tried it yet, or are you waiting for a wider rollout?
As a graphic designer in the scene, this could be fun for promo streams or community nights.
