Game Informer just put Grand Theft Auto VI on the cover, and Rockstar filled 14 pages.
Issue 382 went digital on September 29, free in the Game Informer app through a Rockstar partnership.
Print follows.
Marcus Stewart’s feature runs 14 pages and 12 screenshots that had not been shown.
It is a systems story, not a new trailer and not a new date.
November 19, 2026, on PS5 and Xbox Series, still stands.
The weather is the headline. Rockstar reworked the Red Dead Redemption 2 system for scale.
Storms are local and persistent. You can stand in sun and watch rain on the horizon. Puddles and wet surfaces stay after it passes.
Rainbows show under the right light. A new wind model moves hair, debris, water, and vegetation, with building occlusion and offshore breeze.
Tropical storms and seasonal hurricanes are in Leonida. Rockstar has not said how often they hit, or whether they stop a mission.
Wildlife is the other number. More than 170 species across land, air, and sea: over 60 kinds of birds, more than 30 land mammals, plus fish and reptiles.
Named so far: manatees, flamingos, pelicans, alligators, sharks, whales, rays, turtles, jellyfish, and the invasive set — green iguanas, cane toads, feral cats, rhesus macaques.
Some show iridescence, bioluminescence, and translucency, on new hair and fur systems.
Art director Aaron Garbut puts the Leonida map at about twice GTA V, with six main regions: swamps, beaches, abandoned tourist traps, industrial zones, and northern countryside among them.
Also in the issue: six wanted stars with a new Heat system, Jason and Lucia switchable almost any time, and side activities from base jumping to mini golf.
