A VHS trailer is Behaviour Interactive’s Halloween reel for Dead by Daylight’s 10th anniversary, not one new chapter.
It is cut like an old rental tape and dumps six weeks of cosmetics and events out of order, which is why Diablo shows up before the stuff that is already live.
Already out: Hallowed Blight (October 1). The annual serum collection is back. Jason Voorhees gets his first Blighted look. He is joined by new Blighted outfits for The Houndmaster and The Knight.
October 6: Academia Rift.
A cosmetic drop.
The teaser shows The Clown, The Huntress, Claudette, Thalita, and Vi.
October 13–early November: Haunted by Daylight.
The yearly event runs three weeks. The Entity’s Realm gets an orange haze, pumpkins, and seasonal Rifts.
The Void Realm itself is closed this year, but Void Rifts still open into Void Portals you can use to teleport for escapes or ambushes.
Earnable rewards include Tricks and Treats outfits for Shane Wiigwaas and The Hillbilly, shirts for Sable and Jeff, and masks for The Singularity, The Unknown, and The Trapper.
October 20: Diablo Collection. Six outfits, not a playable Diablo killer.
- Lilith, Daughter of Hatred, as a Visceral outfit for The Artist, with a unique menu animation and a new Mori.
- Belial, Lord of Lies, for The Dredge.
- Mephisto, Lord of Hatred, for The Nurse.
- Those three Killer looks are Visceral or Ascended and use original Diablo voice actors: Caroline Faber, Ray Porter, and Steve Blum.
- Survivor class looks from Diablo IV: Zarina Kassir as Sorceress, David King as Barbarian, Taurie Cain as Necromancer.
October 27: Art the Clown.
Terrifier’s Art the Clown becomes playable. That is the actual new killer in this run, separate from the Diablo skins.
October 30: Ghost Face.
A Día de los Muertos edition with a sombrero.
November 5: Lights Out: Stranger Things Collection. Nancy Wheeler, Steve Harrington, and Vecna come into the Fog.
This is the tail of the Halloween push, not an October drop.
Stranger Things has been in Dead by Daylight before; this is a new Lights Out collection built around those three.
So the trailer is a store calendar dressed as a horror tape.
Diablo is cosmetics with original voices. Stranger Things is a November 5 collection.
The new killer in the window is Art the Clown on October 27.
