Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 campaign trailer dropped on the Xbox TGS broadcast this morning. Infinity Ward.
Full game October 23.
Pre-order digital Standard or Vault and the campaign opens October 16. Multiplayer and DMZ wait until the 23rd. Not on Game Pass at launch.
Platforms: PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, Steam, Battle.net, Xbox PC.
What the trailer is selling
Official line: from Korea to the farthest reaches of the globe, Task Force 141 faces a war with no borders.
Two tracks:
Price is a fugitive. After he killed Shepherd in MW3, 141 is disbanded. Ghost and Gaz are ordered to capture or kill him.
Ghost thinks Price went off the reservation. Laswell still talks to him and doesn’t trust the method.
Price teams with Valeria Garza — former enemy, now the only useful ally against something worse.
Korea is the front. You play Private Park (Young Mazino) on his first live combat as North Korea invades the South. Collapsing cities, ROK–US Marines, amphibious fights, then the map jumps to New York, Paris, Mumbai. Villain name in the copy: Archer.
A weapon that can flip the world order. End of trailer: Mads Mikkelsen — “I’m gonna make you cry for mercy.”
Price: “Oh, I’ve seen a lot of things.” Press hasn’t locked that he is Archer, but that’s the read.
Early access rules
- Digital pre-order only. Physical disc does not get you in.
- Standard or Vault, same week.
- Campaign only. No MP camo head start.
- First campaign early access since the MW2/MW3 window. Black Ops 6 and 7 skipped it.
What it is not
Not a beta refresh.
Betas already ran.
This is the single-player week.
Not a Game Pass day-one.
Not a 141 reunion tour — the trailer is the squad hunting its own captain while a peninsula burns.
