Here's the latest on Xeno Point, the new co-op PvE roguelike mode for PUBG: Battlegrounds developed with People Can Fly and Krafton.
What is Xeno Point?
It's a standalone PvE experience separate from the classic battle royale.
Players team up in co-op to face off against alien enemies in a sci-fi setting.
The mode is a looter-shooter roguelite with progression across runs — your squad evolves through deaths, gathering loot, upgrades, and tackling increasingly tough challenges, including boss fights.
- Set in an alternate, post-alien-invasion version of the Miramar map, with action centered around boarding and clearing out a massive Mothership (Hive) filled with new enemy types.
- It mixes familiar PUBG gunplay and movement with roguelike elements: procedural runs, permanent progression between attempts, co-op squad play, and alien-themed threats.
- This marks PUBG/Krafton's push toward expanding beyond pure battle royale into more varied modes.
Release Dates
- PC (Steam and Epic Games Store): April 8, 2026 (tomorrow!).
- Console (PS5 and Xbox Series X|S): April 16, 2026.
It arrives as part of Update 41.1, which also adds destructible terrain on Erangel and new attachments/tactical updates.
Trailers and Media
- Official Teaser Trailer and Gameplay Trailer are available on PUBG's YouTube channel, showing the alien invasion setup, Mothership approach, roguelite loop, squad evolution, and combat against sci-fi enemies.
Additional News
- Streamer Challenge: Krafton is running a $100,000 Xeno Point Streamer Challenge with separate leaderboards for in-game performance and streaming watch time.
Sign-ups are open for Twitch and Kick streamers. PC phase: April 8–15; Console: April 16–24.
- There's also an Event Pass: Xeno Point available for purchase.
- Early previews describe it as a solid departure from BR, with strong core PUBG shooting feel but needing more variety long-term to stay fresh.
It has echoes of looter-shooters like Outriders (fitting, since People Can Fly worked on it).
The mode is positioned as the start of PUBG experimenting with "what comes after battle royale," potentially leading to more experimental content in the future.
If you're jumping in on PC tomorrow, expect alien hordes, squad-based runs, and that signature PUBG tension — but now with roguelike retries and upgrades.
